2018 Impact Factors Released in the Journal Citation Reports

We are pleased to report the 2018 Journal Impact Factors, which have been published by Clarivate Analytics in the latest edition of the Journal Citation Reports®. These are some of the facts we glean from the data:
- Fifteen MDPI titles have received a first Impact Factor in this year's JCR release: Antibiotics, Antioxidants, Biomolecules, Brain Sciences, Diagnostics, Diversity, Foods, Journal of Marine Science and Engineering (JMSE), Mathematics, Metabolites, Microorganisms, Pathogens, Plants, Universe and Vaccines.
- Twelve journals received an Impact Factor greater than 4; a further eleven journals received an Impact Factor in excess of 3.
- Twenty journals are ranked among the top 25% of journals in at least one of the relevant categories.
- Articles published in 2018 in MDPI journals account for 18.8% of articles published in gold Open Access journals covered in the JCR (59,480 articles out of 316,570 published in Open Access journals).
