The Canadian Association of Psychosocial Oncology is proud to maintain our valued partnership with Current Oncology Journal. The US-based Gout, Hyperuricemia and Crystal-Associated Network launched their journal Gout, Urate and Crystal Deposition Disease (GUCDD) with MDPI late 2022, with the first issue published in March 2023. Since then, the journal has gone from strength to strength; we are now Scopus indexed, with CiteScore of 1.4, and an ongoing 2025 score of 2.9. The co-editors-in-chief have been very well supported by the MDPI journal team. Our visibility has steadily increased by promotion, contributed to by promotion from MDPI, for example, by MDPI sponsoring an annual PhD thesis award. Both the co-editors-in-chief and the GCAN Board are very pleased with partnering with MDPI, with the progress of GUCDD, and with the complete editorial freedom given to the editorial board ever since the launch of the journal.
