2025 July - 139 articles

Cover Story: This study examined how genetic polymorphisms influence biological responses to fruit and vegetable (F&V) blends in healthy individuals. Increased F&V intake reduced ex vivo DNA damage, enhanced plasma antioxidant capacity, and improved microvascular function. Notably, XRCC1 wildtype carriers exhibited greater DNA protection following flavanol-rich F&V intake, while GSTP1 wildtype individuals showed superior microvascular improvements. These genotype-specific effects underscore the potential of integrating genetic stratification into personalized nutrition approaches for chronic disease prevention. View this paper
