2012 The inaugural issue was released, and Antioxidants was published as a quarterly journal.
2015 Antioxidants was indexed by the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) in Web of Science and PubMed.
2016 Antioxidants was included in Scopus and started the Travel Award projects.
2018

Antioxidants was changed to a monthly online journal and received its first CiteScore (Scopus) of 3.56.

The International Coenzyme Q10 Association (ICQ10A) was affiliated with Antioxidants, and their members receive discounts on the article process charges.

Antioxidants was covered by the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE)

2019 Antioxidants received its first impact factor of 4.520, with a CiteScore of 4.88.

Antioxidants established the following topical sections:                                  

  • Natural and Synthetic Antioxidants
  • Antioxidant Enzyme Systems
  • Health Outcomes of Antioxidants and Oxidative Stress
  • ROS, RNS and RSS
  • Aberrant Oxidation of Biomolecules
  • Industrial Applications of Antioxidants

Antioxidants published its 1000th paper.

2020

The Israel Society for Oxygen and Free Radical Research (ISOFRR) was affiliated with Antioxidants and their members receive discounts on the article process charges.

Antioxidants started the Reviewer Board and Topic Board projects.

Antioxidants received an Impact Factor of 5.014 for the year 2019.

Antioxidants published its 2000th paper.
