Cover Story: The dosing flexibility of gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists used for ovarian function suppression (OFS) offers premenopausal breast cancer patients options when encountering survivorship challenges in their treatment journey. Whether patients are juggling the demands of being a working mother or living in remote areas where the frequent long commutes to the cancer center become a burden, the availability of goserelin 10.8 mg LA every 3 months rather than 3.6 mg monthly allows for more convenience and increased patient satisfaction. In this perspective article, the data supporting the interchangeability in long-acting and short-acting OFS treatment regimens are reviewed. View this paper
