Cover Story: The 5th International Electronic Conference on Applied Sciences (ASEC 2024) was held online from 4 to 6 December 2024. It represents an opportunity to gather an interdisciplinary community to discuss applied sciences. More specifically, after the success of the first four editions, this year’s edition will focus on eight thematic areas of applied nature sciences: Applied Biosciences and Bioengineering; Nanosciences, Chemistry and Materials Science; Computing and Artificial Intelligence; Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering; Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering; Energy, Environmental and Earth Science; Food Science and Technology; Applied Physical Science.
