Cover Story: Soybean cultivation in Europe remains limited compared with major global producing regions, resulting in the dependence on imported sources of plant protein. Enhancing yield stability under diverse European conditions is therefore a strategic priority. This cover illustrates the functional interaction between plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) and the soybean plant, highlighting that microbial colonization can stimulate nutrient acquisition, phytohormone modulation, biological nitrogen fixation efficiency, and stress tolerance. Production bars representing the six leading European soybean-producing countries contextualize these biological processes at the regional scale. View this paper
