Cover Story: This article looked at the constructs of creativity and innovation from the perspective of the theory of assemblages. Assemblages are described as a multiplicity with two or more heterogeneous elements or objects interacting together. Each element can have an independent identity while also taking on a different identity when part of an assemblage. The behaviors and interactions carried out by each element vary depending on the context, type of assemblage, and time. The context and interactions matter more to assemblages than the individual parts that make up assemblages. Elements in assemblages have varying degrees of intensity, meaning that some elements are more intensive at one time and less so at other times. View this paper
