Cover Story: Cement-stabilized macadam (CSM) bases are vulnerable to cracking and void damage under traffic and environmental actions. Although grouting is widely used for repair, laboratory evaluation methods remain limited. In this study, field-cored CSM specimens were recombined to simulate four void conditions and repaired using a composite grouting material based on ultra-fine cement and HBSAC, modified with EVA latex, wollastonite whiskers, and PVA fibers. Repair performance was evaluated through ultrasonic testing, capacitance measurement, uniaxial compression with acoustic emission, and CT scanning. Our results demonstrate that the grouting material effectively fills voids, restores structural integrity, and improves mechanical properties. The proposed multi-source characterization method is effective for evaluating grouting repair performance. View this paper
