2018 Buildings adopted a monthly publication schedule. The Twitter account for Buildings was created.

Buildings announced the first edition of the Best Paper Award.
2020 Buildings was indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) - Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics).
Buildings became an affiliated journal of the International Council for Research and Innovation in Building and Construction (CIB).
Buildings announced the first edition of the Young Investigator Award.
Buildings published its 1,000th paper.

2021 The year 2021 marked the 10th Anniversary of Buildings.
