Meet Us at the 36th International Conference on the Physics of Semiconductors 2024, 28 July–2 August 2024, Ottawa, Canada
MDPI will attend the 36th International Conference on the Physics of Semiconductors (ICPS), at the Shaw Convention Centre, Ottawa, Canada, from 28 July to 2 August 2024.
The ICPS is a flagship conference of the International Union of Pure and Applied Physics Commission on Semiconductors (C8). ICPS has a long tradition of bringing together scientists from around the globe working in this active and exciting field with great societal impact. The ICPS meeting is the premier forum for reporting all aspects of semiconductor physics, including their electronic, structural, optical, magnetic, and transport properties. The conference will reflect the state of the art in semiconductor physics as the basis for technology that currently permeates all our lives. In addition, recognizing the current drive in and public excitement for quantum, we plan to make quantum technology an important component of the ICPS in 2024.

International Women in Engineering Day is an international awareness campaign to raise the profile of women in engineering and focus attention on the amazing career opportunities available to girls and women in this exciting industry.
The theme for this year is “Enhanced by Engineering”, we will be celebrating the amazing work that women engineers around the world are doing to support lives and livelihoods every day.

We are pleased to share that Applied Sciences (ISSN: 2076-3417) has received an updated Impact Factor of 2.5 in the 2023 Journal Citation Reports released by Clarivate in June 2024. Applied Sciences now ranks Q1 in the “Engineering, Multidisciplinary” category (upgraded from Q2), Q2 in the “Chemistry, Multidisciplinary” (upgraded from Q3) and “Physics, Applied” categories, and Q3 in the “Materials Science, Multidisciplinary” category.
