The Polish Society of Applied Electromagnetics (PTZE) was established in 1990 as a forum for the exchange of thoughts, ideas, and experiences among people interested in and dealing with various applications of electromagnetism. The number of members of the Society is ca. 300 as of the end of 2019. The aims of the Society are listed below:

  • Promotion of collaboration among scientists representing various subjects of engineering and science that use electromagnetic fields;
  • Exchange of scientific information;
  • Support for young researchers by organizing scholarships, scientific visits, and professional courses;
  • Organizing scientific conferences, both domestic and international;
  • Collaborating with domestic and international societies.

The Polish Society of Applied Electromagnetics realizes the aims shown above which can be seen, among others, in the number of conferences organized since 1991 continuously. What is more, the Society has also organized some Joint Seminars with Japanese researchers, and Joint Seminars with colleagues from Slovenia and Macedonia. Since 1990, the Society has organized a couple of scientific projects solving academic and engineering problems for the industry and society, which have also helped young colleagues to attain their scientific degrees.

The Polish Society of Applied Electromagnetism covers a wide area of electromagnetic applications, from very conventional electrical engineering through agricultural engineering to medicine. Recently, the interest of the members has been focused on the links between medicine and electromagnetism.
