Cover Story: The large amount of information handled by organizations has increased their dependence on information technologies, which has made information security management a complex task. In addition, the transition from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0 brings further changes, requiring upgraded technologies and a critical rethinking of human resources. Information security frameworks can minimize complexity through documents containing guidelines, standards and requirements to establish procedures, policies and processes for each organization. However, it is necessary to properly select and apply the available frameworks and adapt them to the particularities of each organization. In this article, we review the frameworks ISO/IEC 27001, NIST CSF and MAGERIT to explore their effectiveness and suitability. View this paper
