2026 July-1 - 162 articles

Cover Story: Gliomas remain among the most aggressive and treatment-resistant brain tumors, driven by complex interactions between tumor cells, the nervous system, immune cells, and metabolic signaling. This review highlights fatty acid-binding protein 7 (FABP7) as a central regulator linking lipid metabolism, glioma stemness, neuroinflammation, and immune remodeling within the tumor microenvironment. We summarize current evidence supporting the context-dependent roles of FABP7 in tumor progression, discuss emerging therapeutic strategies targeting FABP7 and its associated metabolic pathways, and identify critical knowledge gaps for future investigation. These insights establish FABP7 as a promising biomarker and therapeutic target for precision treatment of glioma. View this paper
