Cover Story: The hotel industry increasingly relies on Industry 4.0 technology (I4T) like artificial intelligence, big data analytics, and Internet of Things to navigate supply chain disruptions. This paper explores how these technologies impact both supply chain resilience and employee-centered social performance. Based on a survey of 108 hotel managers in Hong Kong, the research reveals that adopting I4T significantly boosts both supply chain resilience and employee well-being. The study also highlights the crucial role of managers’ knowledge in leveraging these technologies effectively. The findings provide valuable insights for hotel managers on digitalization and social sustainability in a turbulent environment. View this paper
