Cover Story: The air void system in concrete directly impacts its durability and thermal performance. This study evaluates ChatGPT-generated Python code against MATLAB scripts in order to analyze air void parameters, including the air content, specific surface, and spacing factor. Python enhances accessibility through open-source tools, while MATLAB ensures proven reliability. Additionally, 2D air void analysis is extended to 3D by using CT scan data, enabling improved void reconstruction. The findings highlight AI's potential in enhancing accuracy, efficiency, and innovation in concrete research. View this paper
