Cover Story: Cancer cells often activate the hypoxia pathway and shift their metabolism toward glycolysis. Purple potato extract, a polyphenol-rich natural product, suppresses hypoxia-induced glycolysis while promoting oxidative metabolism. This metabolic reprogramming reduces proliferation, migration, and drug resistance in human colonic epithelial Caco-2 cells. The findings of the present study highlight purple potato extract and related products as promising dietary strategies for colorectal cancer prevention and therapy. View this paper
