About Nutrients

2009 Nutrients inaugural issue is released, it is initially published as a quarterly journal.
2010 Nutrients changes to a monthly publication schedule, the journal is indexed by Scopus.
2011 Nutrients is accepted for indexing by Web of Knowledge (ISI) and Medline.
2012 Nutrients is indexed by Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE). The first Impact Factor is 0.676.
2013 The second Impact Factor is 2.072.
2014 The 2013 Impact Factor is 3.148.
2015 The 2014 Impact Factor is 3.270. The first 1000 papers are published. Two new societies, Nutrition Society of New Zealand (NSNZ) and Australasian Section—American Oil Chemists Society (AAOCS), become affiliated with Nutrients.
2016 The 2015 Impact Factor is 3.759. The first 2000 papers are published. A new society, Asia Pacific Nutrigenomics Nutrigenetics Organisation (APNNO), becomes affiliated with Nutrients.
2017 The 2016 Impact Factor is 3.550. The first 3000 papers are published. A new society, Italian Society for Pediatric Nutrition and Gastroenterology (SIGENP), becomes affiliated with Nutrients.
2018 The 2017 impact factor increases to 4.196, Nutrients is ranked 18/81 (Q1) in the Category ‘Nutrition & Dietetics’ in SCIE. Prof. Lluís Serra-Majem and Prof. Maria Luz Fernandez accepted the role of Editor-in-Chief of Nutrients. The first 4000 papers are published. Two new societies, The Nutrition Society of Australia (NSA) and International Chair for Advanced Studies on Hydration (CIEAH), become affiliated with Nutrients.
