Cover Story: Narrow-bandgap tin–lead (Sn-Pb) perovskites are promising for efficient tandem solar cells but are limited by severe surface defects and facile Sn2+ oxidation. To address this, we developed a synergistic surface passivation strategy using morpholinium acetate (MPAC) for Cs0.17FA0.83Pb0.5Sn0.5I3 films. MPAC executes a dual-function interfacial mechanism: acetate groups chemically lock undercoordinated metal cations to reduce trap density, while morpholine rings construct a field-effect dipole layer to suppress reverse saturation current. These effects synergistically improve charge carrier extraction and increase the recombination resistance, thereby substantially enhancing both the efficiency and long-term stability of Sn-Pb perovskite solar cells. View this paper
