Cover Story: In this work, we have successfully re-engineered the conventional PEDOT:PSS based hole selective interlayer (HSIL) through a low-cost and facile solvent (ethanol, ET) modification strategy to simultaneously modulate the photovoltaic performance and air stability of the fabricated bulk heterojunction polymer solar cells (BHJ-PSCs). We have systematically investigated the influence of ET on the microstructural, morphological, interfacial characteristics of modified HSIL. Consequently, the fabricated BHJ–PSC with modified HSIL witnessed ~17% increase in the power conversion efficiency and exhibited remarkably improved air stability. View Paper here.
