Cover Story: Renewable Energy Communities are emerging as a key solution to foster decentralized energy systems. This work proposes a scalable energy management model that leverages smart charging capabilities to reduce reliance on the medium-voltage grid. The hybrid approach integrates on-site controllers with a shared cloud scheduler, which computes day-ahead power plans. The presented case study highlights the potential of the proposed framework, demonstrating both economic savings for community members and operational benefits for the grid. View this paper
