Cover Story: We experimentally and theoretically established a rational design principle of a hydrogel/elastomer bilayer and further optimized it for a wide-field retinal electrode array. We manipulated the initial monomer concentrations of the pre-gel solutions to investigate its effect on the curvature. Then, we demonstrated stimuli-responsive transformation of a flower-shaped bilayer from a flat film to a curved 3D structure. View this paper
