Housing tenure status is a core determinant of both social sustainability and urban quality of life. This paper examines changes in urban housing tenure status in Iran between 1974 and 2023, as well as forecasts future trends from 2024 to 2033 based on a Deep Neural Network model designed in MATLAB using statistical data from the Iran Statistical Center. Homeownership remains the predominant tenure type (69%). The Deep Learning based Neural Network model predicts that mortgaged housing will continue to grow over the next decade, while homeownership and rental shares will continue to decline. Full article
