Cover Story: The 50th anniversary of the integration of the School of Industrial Technical Engineering of Alcoi into the UPV became an immersive experience thanks to virtual reality, the metaverse, and digital twins. The Ferrándiz–Carbonell building was recreated in an interactive virtual environment that was globally accessible, allowing students, faculty, and the public to relive memories and celebrate without physical limits. The digital twin received a score of 88.39/100 on the SUS scale. The article analyzes how these technologies are transforming social interaction, education, and accessibility in future digital ecosystems. View this paper
