Modeling and Optimization of Energy Efficiency in the Light of Energy Security

Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Energy security is currently one of the most important issues for political, environmental, and economic reasons. To ensure this type of security, it is necessary to transform the energy systems of countries around the world. This requires modern solutions in terms of energy efficiency of technologies used, the use of pro-ecological solutions that enable the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, as well as the development of renewable energy sources technologies, sustainable use of natural resources for energy production, and technology for its acquisition in accordance with the principles of the circular economy. An important aspect of obtaining energy security when using renewable energy sources is the possibility of storing the generated energy and the stable operation of energy systems. We would like the proposed Special Issue to give scientists from various fields an opportunity to present the results of their research within the framework of broadly understood energy security. The submitted manuscripts may relate to energy security in the field of modeling, simulation, and optimization, among others:

  • Energy storage;
  • Processing of materials, obtaining critical raw materials (e.g., REE) for energy production;
  • Saving energy;
  • Renewable energy;
  • Electric vehicles, modern engines, etc.

Manuscript Submission Information

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
