New Era of Systemic Therapy for Different Types of Skin Cancer

This special issue belongs to the section “Cancer Therapy“.

Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

The therapeutic landscape for skin cancers, including basal cell carcinoma, cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma, melanoma, and Merkel cell carcinoma, is undergoing a remarkable transformation. Recent advances in immunotherapy, targeted therapy, and novel biologic agents have revolutionized the management of these malignancies, offering new hope for patients and redefining clinical standards of care. This Special Issue aims to highlight the evolving role of systemic therapies in different types of skin cancer, focusing on their mechanisms of action, clinical efficacy, safety profiles, and integration into multidisciplinary treatment approaches. We welcome submissions that address current challenges and future perspectives, including biomarker discovery, resistance mechanisms, real-world data, and innovative therapeutic combinations. By gathering contributions from both clinical and translational research, this Special Issue seeks to provide a comprehensive overview of the new era of systemic treatment in skin oncology and to foster dialogue that will shape the next generation of therapeutic strategies.
