Ecological Regulation of Forest and Grassland Pests (2nd Edition)

Dear Colleagues,

This collection is the second edition of the previous one, titled "Ecological Regulation of Forest and Grassland Pests". Forests and grasslands are the most important nature component, playing an important role in balancing the whole ecosystem. Forest and grassland pests cause huge losses and can affect the whole ecosystem; however, the situation might worsen with the application of chemical pesticides to control them. Therefore, controlling forest and grassland pests by means of ecological regulation is expected to maintain a healthy ecosystem.

The scope of this Special Issue includes sustainable IPM, chemical ecology, biological control, biotechnique, biodiversity and other ecological regulation of forest and grassland pests. The range of pests include insects, plant diseases and other harmful organisms in neighboring habitats of forests and grasslands where ecological niches might cross each other. Modern pest control technologies, forest management, AI-based control, auto-monitoring and prediction and other modern approaches are particularly welcome. The topics of pure chemical pesticides or chemically based IPM have been excluded.
