Reviews in Signaling Modulation by Natural and Synthetic Agents in Cancer

Dear Colleagues,

Cellular signaling pathways govern critical processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, and immune surveillance. In cancer, dysregulation of these pathways drives oncogenesis, tumor progression, metastasis, and resistance to conventional therapies. Targeting aberrant signaling networks has therefore emerged as a cornerstone of modern oncology.

This Special Issue aims to collect high-quality review articles that provide an overview of the current landscape and future perspectives of cancer therapeutics. We welcome comprehensive reviews focusing on how both natural compounds and synthetic agents modulate oncogenic signaling pathways.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the molecular mechanisms of action of these agents, their impact on tumor progression and modulation of the tumor microenvironment, the overcoming of multidrug resistance, and the synergy between natural and synthetic molecules. By bringing together up-to-date literature and critical insights, this Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive roadmap for developing novel, more effective, and safer anticancer strategies.

Manuscript Submission Information

Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Biology is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
