Dear Colleagues,
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the most pressing global health challenges of the 21st century, affecting human, animal, and environmental health on a worldwide scale. The rapid emergence and dissemination of resistant microorganisms threaten the effectiveness of existing antimicrobial therapies and demand coordinated, multidisciplinary responses within a One Health framework.
This Special Issue aims to gather high-quality research and reviews that address the tripartite challenge of AMR: detecting its presence, monitoring its spread, and implementing innovative interventions to mitigate its impact. across diverse settings. The objective is to provide a platform for interdisciplinary research addressing AMR from a One Health perspective, encompassing human, animal, and environmental health. Research areas may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Identification of antimicrobial-resistant pathogens;
- Advances in AMR surveillance and monitoring frameworks;
- Genomic epidemiology and whole-genome sequencing applications;
- Mechanisms of antimicrobial resistance and gene transfer;
- Environmental reservoirs and transmission pathways of AMR;
- One Health approaches to antimicrobial resistance;
- Antimicrobial stewardship and infection prevention strategies;
- Novel antimicrobial agents and alternative therapies (e.g., bacteriophages, vaccines);
- Data-driven and predictive modeling approaches for AMR.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
