Cover Story: This paper asks whether ecological commitment and economic profitability can coexist in practice. It presents a 20-year case study (2006–2026) of INAMSOS, S.A., a small Spanish environmental enterprise founded by 31 shareholders and promoted by the ecological restoration NGO International Foundation for Ecosystem Restoration (fundacionfire.org) together with the University of Alcala. Drawing on this real-world experience, the study traces how the company balanced environmental and financial goals over two decades, adapting its strategy as it grew and embraced circular-economy practices. The findings offer practical lessons for entrepreneurs, NGOs and universities seeking to build environmental ventures that are both ecologically meaningful and financially sound, offering a rare long-term perspective on sustainable entrepreneurship linked to ecological restoration. View this paper
