Soil Health and Fertility Management in Vegetable Crop Production
This special issue belongs to the section "Vegetable Production Systems".
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Vegetables are an essential food for human survival, and cultivating high-quality vegetables requires healthy and fertile soil. As the saying goes: "All life originates from the soil; where there is soil, there is life". Previous research has extensively demonstrated that sound agricultural management practices—such as organic amendments, conservation tillage, and others—can enhance soil health, improve soil fertility, and thereby enable the production of high-quality agricultural products.
The theme of this Special Issue, "Soil Health and Fertility Management in Vegetable Crop Production", aims to explore the intrinsic connection between healthy soils and vegetable production on a global scale. Such impacts can be demonstrated through positive examples (e.g., organic management that boosts yields and sustainability) or negative cases (e.g., soil degradation leading to crop failure), all of which are welcome in this Special Issue.
