Advanced Data Analytics and Intelligent Systems
This special issue belongs to the section "Computer Science & Engineering".
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Amid the acceleration of digital transformation in society, advanced data analytics and intelligent systems are catalyzing innovation far beyond traditional boundaries—from smart cities, healthcare, and autonomous transportation to sustainable energy, precision agriculture, environmental monitoring, and industrial ecosystems. Powered by deep learning, edge intelligence, digital twins, adaptive control, and secure cyber–physical integration, these technologies enable real-time perception, predictive insight, autonomous decision-making, and resilient operations across diverse intelligent infrastructures. As systems grow in scale and complexity, challenges in scalability, interoperability, cybersecurity, resource efficiency, and human–AI trust demand interdisciplinary solutions grounded in robust data science and intelligent engineering.
This Special Issue, “Advanced Data Analytics and Intelligent Systems”, invites high-impact contributions that advance the theory, methodology, and application of intelligent systems across multiple domains. It aims to consolidate cutting-edge research at the nexus of data-driven analytics, AI, and system intelligence—highlighting innovations applicable to industrial automation, urban services, critical infrastructure, and emerging intelligent environments. By fostering cross-domain collaboration among researchers, engineers, and practitioners, this Special Issue seeks to accelerate the development of scalable, secure, and socially responsible intelligent solutions for a connected world. We welcome original research articles, case studies, and reviews focusing on, but not limited to, the following topics:
- Edge AI and on-device intelligence for embedded systems and IoT edge devices
- Cybersecurity analytics for threat detection, resilience, and secure operations in industrial control systems and critical infrastructure
- AI-driven intelligent control strategies for power electronics, smart grids, and energy systems
- Digital twin frameworks for virtual commissioning, simulation, and lifecycle optimization
- Deep learning applications in RF/wireless communications, radar, and multi-sensor signal processing.
- Data-driven predictive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and remaining useful life estimation for industrial machinery and equipment
- Scalable AI deployment, edge-cloud synergy, and resource-aware inference for large-scale industrial intelligent systems
- Autonomous decision-making and adaptive perception for industrial robots, AGVs, and smart production ecosystems
We look forward to receiving your contributions.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the Special Issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
