Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The research of computational electromagnetism is fascinating. With it, we can understand the motion law of electromagnetic fields, predict the propagation of the electromagnetic wave, extract the characteristics of electromagnetic fields, and design various microwave devices, circuits, and structures.
With the efforts of many scholars, computational electromagnetism technology has been developed rapidly. Different branches of computational methods have been proposed and many electromagnetic engineering problems have been solved by these methods. The development of computer technology has further promoted the progress of computational electromagnetism technology and formed much excellent design software, which facilitates the design work of engineers. How to make better use of this software in combination with computational electromagnetism theory is also our concern. In addition, as the problems of electromagnetic engineering become more and more complex, traditional computational electromagnetics technology is facing great challenges. Using artificial intelligence technology combined with computational electromagnetics technology is expected to become a method to solve complex electromagnetic problems.
This Special Issue provides a platform for various theoretical and applied research of computational electromagnetic methods. All papers related to computational electromagnetics techniques are welcome.
Topics of Interest of this Special Issue include, but are not limited to:
- Computational electromagnetics techniques
- Characteristic modes theory and applications
- Scattering measurements theory and applications
- Electromagnetic compatibility
- Simulation of the complex electromagnetic environment
- Optimization technique and applications
- Artificial intelligence techniques and applications
- Microwave and millimeter wave circuit modeling
- Application of electromagnetic theory in communication satellite payload

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for announcement on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Electronics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2400 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
