Dear Colleagues,
Cancer remains one of the most complex and challenging diseases to treat, characterized by immense genomic and phenotypic heterogeneity. In recent years, the rapid growth of various data, including genomic, transcriptomic (especially single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial profiling), metabolomic, proteomic and imaging, have profoundly supported oncology research. To effectively analyze and interpret these vast datasets in cancer research, the application of advanced computational approaches has become essential.
This Special Issue, “Computational Approaches for Multi-Omics and Biomedical Data Analysis in Cancer Research,” aims to highlight the latest advancements in bioinformatics, machine learning and artificial intelligence (including foundation models) as applied to clinical and translational oncology. We particularly welcome studies that develop or apply computational methods for integrating multiple molecular and biomedical data modalities to improve our understanding of cancer biology, tumor heterogeneity and disease progression.
We invite original research articles and comprehensive reviews that explore the development and implementation of novel computational tools for cancer biomarker discovery, medical imaging, multi-omics analyses for personalized medicine and tumor microenvironment analysis. By bridging the gap between computer science and cancer biology through the analysis of diverse molecular and imaging data, this collection will provide valuable insights into disease mechanisms and pave the way for next-generation, data-driven therapies.

Manuscript Submission Information

All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. Cancers is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
