The 37th International Symposium on Dynamical Properties of Solids

Ferrara, Italy | 8–12 September 2019

Federico Montoncello, University of Ferrara, Italy
Vincenzo Guidi, University of Ferrara, Italy

Cover Story: This issue of Proceedings gathers papers presented at DyProSo2019 (Ferrara, Italy, 8–12 September 2019), a biannual Symposium on Dynamical Properties of Solids, now in its 37th edition. The main goal of the symposium is to bring together researchers from all around the world working on the diverse aspects of the dynamics of solids, and offer a platform to present the results of their research. The single-session framework of the symposium triggers a blending of the different sub-topics, which is known to produce itself new knowledge, new strategic paths for the research, and new collaborations. All the functional properties of condensed matter, either theoretical or experimental, and resulting from elementary excitations, light–matter interactions, molecular motions, transport processes, and other dynamic phenomena occurring in many-body systems, are addressed.
  • Issues are regarded as officially published after their release is announced to the table of contents alert mailing list .
  • You may sign up for email alerts to receive table of contents of newly released issues.
  • PDF is the official format for papers published in both, html and pdf forms. To view the papers in pdf format, click on the "PDF Full-text" link, and use the free Adobe Reader to open them.

The standard approach to represent the experimentally measured data depending on some
continuous parameter is to draw them as a curve, i.e. as a continuous function which fits the
experimental points and hopefully follows some theoretical explanation. [...]
