Big Data and Cognitive Computing, Volume 10, Issue 6

2026 June - 33 articles

Cover Story: Artificial intelligence is increasingly used to support decision-making. This systematic review investigates how human-centered AI is applied within decision support systems across multiple domains. By analyzing 90 studies published between 2015 and 2025, the paper identifies application areas, architectural designs, AI methods, human–machine interaction mechanisms, and validation strategies. It also discusses the contribution of these systems to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, current limitations, and future research directions. The review offers insights for advancing more reliable, explainable, transparent, and human-aware decision support systems. View this paper
