Cover Story: Understanding individual work performance is crucial for assessing how employees contribute to organizational success and ensure its competitiveness. This study aims to adapt and validate the Individual Work Performance Questionnaire (IWPQ) for Portuguese workers in the digital sector, resulting in the IWPQ-PT. With a sample of 423 participants, two studies were conducted: the first revealed a three-factor structure, while the second confirmed it with strong model fit (CFI = 0.95; RMSEA = 0.06). The IWPQ-PT showed strong reliability (α = 0.72-0.88) and construct validity, with task and contextual performance correlating positively with job satisfaction and engagement and counterproductive behaviors correlating negatively. The IWPQ-PT is a robust tool for assessing individual work performance in Portuguese organizations. View this paper
