Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
The aim of this Special Issue is to provide comprehensive insights into the challenges faced by digital government and to offer valuable perspectives on the future trends and opportunities that may lead to more efficient, transparent, and citizen-centric government services. It highlights the significance of leveraging social media, artificial intelligence (AI), security measures, citizen interaction, and technological advancements to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, transparency, and trustworthiness of government services across various domains. The importance of effective citizen interaction is emphasized, highlighting the need for inclusive engagement to ensure the success of digital government services.
The Issue will examine the applications of digital government in diverse sectors, including education, health, tourism, services, and business, showcasing its potential impact across various industries. It will emphasize the involvement of relevant stakeholder groups and categorize the interactions between these groups and the government into different dimensions such as government-to-government, government-to-business, government-to-non-profit, government-to-citizen, government-to-visitor, and government-to-employee. Key factors for successful digital government services, identified as efficiencies, effectiveness, transparency, security, and trust, will be explored. The Issue will also discuss administrative reengineering as a strategy to optimize government operations through digitalization.
This Special Issue welcomes the submission of case studies, comparative studies, research papers, and review papers to contribute to the exploration and understanding of digital government.
