Nanomaterials-Based Optoelectronic Devices: Design, Fabrication and Characterization

Dear Colleagues,

Nanomaterials are transforming optoelectronics with their unique optical and electrical properties. This Special Issue invites research on innovative design strategies for nanomaterials-based optoelectronic devices, including quantum dots, plasmonic nanostructures, and 2D materials. We welcome contributions on advanced fabrication techniques such as solution processing, atomic layer deposition, and scalable printing methods. Additionally, submissions should focus on standardized characterization protocols for evaluating device performance, including photoluminescence, charge transport, and optoelectronic response. Original research on emerging applications in displays, photovoltaics, wearable electronics, and IR sensing is encouraged. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Materials is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
