This Special Issue, entitled “Nanostructure Evolution in Duplex Stainless Steels,” explores the complex changes that occur at the nanoscale in these materials. This topic is of great interest in materials science and engineering due to the unique properties of duplex stainless steels, which combine high strength with good corrosion resistance.
The evolution of nanostructures in duplex stainless steels is influenced by various factors, including chemical composition, processing techniques, and environmental conditions. Understanding these factors is essential for optimizing the properties of duplex stainless steels for specific applications.
