Advances in Critical Care Cardiology

Dear Colleagues,

The progress in the field of cardiology has been remarkable. Recent developments in cardiology, including echocardiography, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging (CMR), and biomarkers, have provided new opportunities for high diagnostic accuracy. Moreover, novel therapeutic approaches—such as pharmacological treatments (sodium–glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitors, inotropic agents, and vasopressors, antiplatelets drugs and association) and technological advances (extracorporeal life support, transcatheter aortic valve implantation [TAVI], and transcatheter mitral valve repair [TMVR], arrhythmia ablations)—have significantly improved patient management practices. Therapeutic indications have steadily expanded, allowing new therapies to be offered to a broader range of patients. In this Special Issue, we invite authors to submit original research articles and reviews addressing clinical advances in critical care cardiology, encompassing both diagnostic and therapeutic aspects.

Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process. Journal of Clinical Medicine is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
