Decoding Male Reproductive Health: Clinical and Laboratory Perspectives
This special issue belongs to the section "Reproductive Medicine & Andrology".
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Male reproductive health is a critical yet often underrecognized component of overall health and disease prevention. In recent decades, growing evidence has highlighted a global decline in male reproductive parameters, including sperm quality, testosterone levels, and fertility rates, raising significant clinical and public health concerns. Male reproductive dysfunction is not only a leading cause of infertility but is also increasingly recognized as an early marker of systemic conditions such as metabolic syndrome, cardiovascular disease, endocrine disorders, and malignancies.
This Special Issue on clinical updates on male reproductive health aims to provide a comprehensive overview of recent advances in the diagnosis, management, and understanding of male reproductive disorders. Topics include male infertility and the impact of environmental, lifestyle, and genetic factors on reproductive outcomes. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based clinical approaches, emerging biomarkers, and novel therapeutic strategies that can improve patient care.
By integrating reproductive health into broader clinical practice, clinicians can enhance early disease detection, optimize long-term health outcomes, and address quality-of-life issues affecting men across their lifespans. Advancing awareness and research in male reproductive health is essential for improving reproductive outcomes, promoting gender-inclusive healthcare, and addressing the growing burden of reproductive and chronic diseases worldwide. In this Special Issue, we welcome authors to submit papers on male reproductive health in terms of both diagnosis and treatment.
