Advancing Mechanical Ventilation in Critical Care: From Clinical Foundations to Personalized Strategies
This special issue belongs to the section "Intensive Care".
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to invite submissions for a Special Issue entitled “Advancing Mechanical Ventilation in Critical Care: From Clinical Foundations to Personalized Strategies.” This issue aims to bring together cutting-edge research, expert reviews, and innovative perspectives that span the full spectrum of mechanical ventilation—from fundamental physiology and evidence-based clinical practices to emerging approaches in individualized, data-driven care. We welcome contributions addressing topics such as ventilator modes and monitoring, lung-protective strategies, patient–ventilator interaction, management of ARDS, weaning and liberation, patient–ventilator interaction, and the integration of artificial intelligence and precision medicine into ventilatory management. By highlighting both foundational principles and forward-looking innovations, this Special Issue seeks to advance the science and practice of mechanical ventilation and improve outcomes for critically ill patients.

Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed.
