Clinical Advances in Psychotic Disorders: Precision Diagnosis and Personalized Treatment
This special issue belongs to the section "Mental Health".
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Psychotic disorders represent a significant clinical and social challenge worldwide, affecting not only individuals’ mental health but also their daily functioning, social integration, and quality of life. Despite advances in pharmacological and psychotherapeutic treatments, substantial challenges remain in early detection, accurate diagnosis, and the implementation of personalized interventions that truly enhance patients’ functionality and personal recovery. The growing understanding of differentiated clinical profiles and individual trajectories opens new opportunities for more precise, person-centered approaches that facilitate the translation of therapeutic benefits into everyday life.
The field of psychotic disorders is undergoing a period of transformation: advances in clinical, cognitive, and transdiagnostic assessments enable earlier and more personalized diagnostic strategies, while new psychosocial, cognitive, and pharmacological interventions aim to optimize functional outcomes and promote patients’ comprehensive recovery. This Special Issue provides a platform to consolidate these advances, generating knowledge that connects basic, clinical, and applied research with a direct impact on professional practice.
Statement of Purpose:
This Special Issue aims to present and disseminate the most recent advances related to precision diagnosis, early detection, and personalized interventions in psychotic disorders. We consider contributions addressing innovative approaches to improve therapeutic outcomes, enhance functional recovery, and facilitate the translation of treatment benefits into patients’ daily lives.
Topics of interest for publication include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Early detection and clinical identification of psychotic disorders
- Precision diagnostic approaches integrating clinical and cognitive data
- Personalized pharmacological and psychosocial interventions
- Cognitive remediation, rehabilitation, and functional outcome enhancement
- Strategies to improve transfer of therapeutic gains to real-life settings
- Recovery-oriented interventions and individualized care plans
- Digital tools, telepsychiatry, and novel technologies supporting personalized treatment.
