Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Gene regulation is orchestrated by complex and highly dynamic networks of transcription factors and chromatin modifiers that integrate developmental cues, environmental signals, and cellular states to control gene expression programs. This Special Issue will focus on the molecular and functional interplay between transcription factors and chromatin-modifying machineries that shape transcriptional outcomes across eukaryotic systems. We welcome original research articles and reviews that address the mechanisms by which these networks regulate gene expression, including enhancer–promoter communication, chromatin remodeling, histone modifications, three-dimensional genome organization, and signal-responsive transcription. Contributions exploring the roles of these regulatory networks in development, cell fate determination, metabolism, and human disease—particularly cancer and genetic disorders—are especially encouraged. Studies employing genomic, biochemical, structural, and computational approaches are all within the scope. By bringing together diverse perspectives and methodologies, this Special Issue will provide an integrated view of how transcription factor–chromatin modifier networks establish, maintain, and dysregulate gene expression programs and will highlight emerging concepts and therapeutic opportunities in transcriptional and epigenomic regulation.
