Topical Collection Information

Dear Colleagues,

Globally, fossil fuels serve as the primary energy source providing heat, generating electricity, and powering engines. Fossil fuels have been recognized as the main source of carbon emissions and cause of climate change. Therefore, the environmental issues associated with the consumption of fossil fuels have become a hot topic in many countries. Most of the countries in the world agreed to limit global warming by diversifying the energy sources from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources. This conference papers Collection is focused on promoting high-quality research about the latest innovations and developments in the area of energy and the environment.

This Topical Collection, "Conference Paper Collection in Energy and the Environment", will provide a platform for authors to publish their expanded high-quality conference papers if they fulfill the following requirements: (1) the paper should be expanded to the size of a research article (50% content expansion); (2) the conference paper should be cited and noted on the first page of the paper; (3) if the authors do not hold the copyright of the published conference paper, authors should seek the appropriate permission from the copyright holder; (4) authors are asked to disclose that it is conference paper in their cover letter and include a statement on what has been changed compared to the original conference paper.

Topics of interest for this Collection include but are not limited to:

  • Natural resources and materials;
  • Energy management;
  • Energy production and storage;
  • Energy efficiency;
  • Energy transition;
  • Environmental impacts of energy systems.
