Special Issue Information

Dear Colleagues,

Women’s health is entering an era of precision medicine, in which screening, diagnosis and clinical management are increasingly tailored to individual risk profiles, biomarker status and disease trajectories. Conventional “one-size-fits-all” approaches to screening and follow-up are gradually being replaced by risk-based strategies that integrate clinical factors, molecular testing, imaging findings and epidemiologic evidence. These advances offer new opportunities to improve early detection, reduce unnecessary interventions and optimize patient outcomes across a wide spectrum of conditions affecting women.   In particular, precision screening has become increasingly relevant in gynecologic diseases and cancers, including cervical, endometrial and ovarian neoplasms, as well as precancerous lesions and other women’s health conditions. The expanding use of HPV testing, cytology triage, molecular biomarkers, artificial intelligence-assisted diagnostics and risk prediction models has transformed the landscape of screening and prevention. At the same time, the implementation of individualized management strategies based on risk stratification has the potential to improve clinical decision-making, resource allocation and health equity.   This Special Issue aims to highlight recent advances in precision screening and risk-based management in women’s health, with a particular focus on innovative diagnostic tools, biomarker-driven strategies, epidemiologic evidence and translational approaches that can be applied in real-world practice. We welcome contributions that address both malignant and non-malignant conditions, especially those that improve early detection, refine disease classification, or support personalized prevention and follow-up.   Topics of interest for this Special Issue include, but are not limited to, the following:   *Risk-based screening strategies in women’s health *Precision prevention and early detection of gynecologic cancers *HPV-related screening, triage and management *Molecular diagnostics and biomarker-based risk stratification *Artificial intelligence and digital health applications in screening and diagnosis *Cytology, pathology, imaging and multimodal diagnostic integration *Population-based screening research and cancer epidemiology *Real-world evidence for personalized follow-up and surveillance *Diagnostic innovations in cervical, endometrial, ovarian and other gynecologic diseases *Health systems, implementation science and disparities in women’s screening programs  Through this Special Issue, we hope to provide a platform for clinicians, researchers and public health experts to share emerging evidence and interdisciplinary perspectives that will shape the future of precision diagnostics and individualized care in women’s health.

Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.

Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-blind peer-review process.
