Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Heart failure prevalence continues to rise globally despite current advances in diagnostics and management. Regardless of the underlying etiology, heart failure remains a progressive disease, largely irreversible and end-stage heart failure requires transplantation. This Special Issue focuses on the challenges and recent advances of diagnosis (biomarkers, imaging), treatment, and prevention of heart failure and associated comorbidities (COPD, diabetes mellitus, sleep apnea, renal insufficiency). Of particular interest, are the influence of lifestyle alterations (diet, exercise, bodyweight) on heart failure progression/outcomes and improvement of quality of life. Authors can submit original articles, reviews, or short communications. We welcome submissions from clinical, translational, and basic research.
