Advances in Diagnostic Imaging for Maternal–Fetal Medicine
This special issue belongs to the section "Medical Imaging and Theranostics".
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
I am pleased to invite you to contribute to this Special Issue titled "Advances in Diagnostic Imaging for Maternal–Fetal Medicine", for which I serve as Guest Editor.
Accurate and timely diagnosis is the cornerstone of effective management in Maternal–Fetal Medicine. Over the last decade, rapid technological advancements in diagnostic imaging have revolutionized our ability to assess fetal development and placental function. From high-resolution ultrasound to fetal MRI and the integration of artificial intelligence, these tools are reshaping prenatal care.
This Special Issue aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the latest innovations and clinical applications in diagnostic imaging for maternal and fetal conditions. It seeks to highlight novel techniques, improve diagnostic accuracy for congenital anomalies, and explore the role of imaging in high-risk pregnancies.
In this Special Issue, original research articles and reviews are welcome. Research areas may include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Advanced fetal ultrasound techniques (3D/4D, Doppler).
- Fetal Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) in clinical practice.
- Imaging of placental disorders (e.g., accreta spectrum).
- Early first-trimester screening and diagnosis.
- Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning in prenatal imaging.
- Diagnostic imaging for fetal interventions.
I look forward to receiving your contributions.
Dr. Alexandros Psarris
Guest Editor
Manuscript Submission Information
Manuscripts should be submitted online at www.mdpi.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to go to the submission form. Manuscripts can be submitted until the deadline. All submissions that pass pre-check are peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will be published continuously in the journal (as soon as accepted) and will be listed together on the Special Issue website. Research articles, review articles as well as short communications are invited. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 250 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office for assessment.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts are thoroughly refereed through a single-anonymized peer-review process. A guide for authors and other relevant information for submission of manuscripts is available on the Instructions for Authors page. Diagnostics is an international peer-reviewed open access semimonthly journal published by MDPI.
Please visit the Instructions for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) for publication in this open access journal is 2600 CHF (Swiss Francs). Submitted papers should be well formatted and use good English. Authors may use MDPI's English editing service prior to publication or during author revisions.
