Advances in Head and Neck Ultrasound
This special issue belongs to the section “Medical Imaging and Theranostics“.
Special Issue Information
Dear Colleagues,
Clinician-performed head and neck ultrasounds are expanding to office-based and surgical settings to improve the diagnostic work-up and surgical results. Furthermore, minimally invasive treatments, e.g., radiofrequency ablation and ethanol injections of thyroid cysts, are increasingly used instead of surgery. This Special Issue will cover new advancements in diagnostic head and neck ultrasound and ultrasound-guided interventions. The issue will cover all aspects from ultrasound education, the clinical impact of surgeon-performed ultrasound, the validation of new ultrasound scanning techniques/areas, advanced ultrasound technologies (contrast-enhanced ultrasound, elastography, 3D ultrasound, super-resolution imaging, etc.), and ultrasound-guided minimally invasive treatments.
